Flood Resilience Event and Climate Festival news
Flood Resilience
Fife Climate Hub is organising an upcoming event focused on flood resilience and community-led solutions across Fife.
What is the Flood event about?
Flooding is becoming an increasingly frequent and disruptive issue across the Kingdom of Fife. Many residents are forced to accept it as a hazard of where they live—coping with damage and disruption as it comes. This event is designed to empower local people and community leaders with the tools and knowledge to respond to and reduce flood risk.
The event will focus on:
How communities can take action to prepare for and even prevent floodingWhat support is available from local and national organisationsWhere to access practical tools, funding, and local examples of good practiceHow to share local knowledge and help map flood-affected areas in Fife
Speakers and contributors include:
Rain garden experts
Fife Climate HubScottish Flood Forum
SEPA
Fife Council (Climate Change & Zero Waste Team, and Flooding & Harbours Team)
And more (TBC)
We’re also thrilled to welcome “Flo”, the Flood Re mobile exhibition vehicle offering hands-on flood resilience resources and practical advice. You can learn more about Flo here: Meet Flo | Flood Re
