New School Governors Elected
New office bearers were elected at the meeting on
Monday. Susan Jack steps down as Chairperson of
approximately 7 years. Thanks to Susan from all
parents for all her hard work in that time. Also
thanks to the departing Sue Whisler as vice chair
making way for the new ‘boys’ in town!
Marcus Keaveney takes over the very sought after
Chairperson’s role with David Jones helping as
little as possible as Vice-chair! It has been
suggested that all future meetings should be moved
from the school to the Gateside Inn but only two
members agreed! Discussions were had over Fife
Councils consultation on joint management of small
schools which could possible have great affect on
Gateside School and the community. The School Parent
Council will inform parents who did not attend the
meeting (as all parents are members of the council)
it’s response to the consultation and ask for
input from as many people as possible.
