Pedestrian Crossing Approved
Councillor Donald Lothian gave residents of Gateside
good news last week when he advised that Fife Council
had approved the building of a traffic light crossing
on the A91 near the Gateside Memorial Hall. This
welcome scheme is to cost approximately £20,000 and
will greatly improve the safety of residents and
school children who regularly have to cross the A91
to access the village hall. It is also hoped that the
crossing may help to further reduce the speed of
traffic through the village.
