Hall Re-furbishment
The new central heating system in the Hall is now fully functional. It has made a considerable difference and all users of the Hall should now find it nice and warm whatever the weather. We are very grateful to Duncan Reekie and his team for their hard work on this, and to Awards for All for granting us the funding.
The Committee is now beginning to look at the next phase of the refurbishment - the stage and its curtains, the lighting and a sound system. Advice has been sought and quotations are awaited. It will then be necessary to seek funding and work on this is in hand.
Prize for Gateside School Children
Gateside School entered the Pallet Garden Competition at the Fife Flower Show. The show was held a Dobbies in Dunfermline in September and the children won second prize for their Sensory Garden.
Application for Charitable Status
The Gateside and District Community Assocation is now a registered Charity. The registration number is SC038682 and the entry is on the OSCR Website - Gateside and District Community Association.
